Could it be?

Will we actually start breaking ground?

NO WAY!!!

Well, maybe yes way. :-)

The plans are back from the architect, and Mike and Melody are getting pricing. We were given the supplier list this evening, and first thing tomorrow we start calling to make appointments.

The kitchen design, siding, roofing, and flooring are the big ones to get taken care of this week.

And GET THIS! Mike and Melody said we might even break ground in another 2-3 weeks!

Wouldn't that be something? When I heard that, I had butterflies in the stomach!

This is SUCH an exciting time, Jen. I know you will enjoy the process (as much as anyone can). There will be bumps - always are - but you'll just solve them and move forward. We LOVED remodeling this house and then building our home in Utah. It was the best. Enjoy!!

Our "Scrapbook"

I've never been proficient at scrapbooking, but I wanted a way of capturing the building of our new home. A blog is the perfect way for two "techies" to accomplish the artistry of capturing memories.

We moved from the Midwest to the East Coast in October 2008. We found our building site in November 2008, and broke ground in October 2009.

Henceforth, The Building of Blackthorn Ridge.
