Week 14, Day 94 - Siding, Check!

So they finished the siding today, and it looks awesome! The drywallers are all done hanging the drywall, and the maestro is currently applying the spackle (or mud or whatever you call it) to the drywall to make everything even. I did that myself on our renovation on our last house, and doing it with the quality that this gentleman is doing is nothing short of magic. The arches look awesome, and it's all just soo exciting!

Other things happening/happened: All appliances purchased, the cabinetry is in and waiting for the right time to be delivered, the painters come this week to start their work, and I start laying tile this weekend (hopefully). Lots going on!

Veeery nice, I think.

The red is just so sharp!

Note the insulation attached to the concrete walls. Love it!

My spaghetti of network and home-audio wiring.

Love the water distribution!

Ah, the arches. Looking great!

Love the exterior color, all the windows, and the arches! So close! Can't wait to see the finished product!

Oh. my. I'm going to be very good-natured-ly jealous! The red is STUNNING! There's a actually a house we pass on our way to town almost exactly the same color, and I always tell Mark that if we ever build, I want a house that color-lol!
The arches are delightful! I really enjoyed taking a look at your floor plan-you're a wise woman adding so many closets. I'm looking forward to delightful afternoons watching our children play there together someday!

Okay...looks like I shouldn't leave comments before my shower to wake me up...looks like I mean to have the kids playing in the closets! :)

Our "Scrapbook"

I've never been proficient at scrapbooking, but I wanted a way of capturing the building of our new home. A blog is the perfect way for two "techies" to accomplish the artistry of capturing memories.

We moved from the Midwest to the East Coast in October 2008. We found our building site in November 2008, and broke ground in October 2009.

Henceforth, The Building of Blackthorn Ridge.
